A type specimen book
This type specimen book was created as a part of the Art Director’s track of the MS in Global Strategic Communication program at Florida International University and Miami Ad School.
This type specimen book was created to showcase the timeless beauty of Herman Zapf’s Palatino font. Created in the end of WWII, it was created out of the need for legibility even in newsprint stock. Nonetheless, Palatino whispers its story of elegance providing grace and clarity. In its regular style, the font stands steadfast with square, consistent shapes, while its italics style pirouettes wit mesmerizing allure, adding a touch of romance even to the simplest of papers.
